Facts the draft is allowed to use
The info base is a set of named entries about you or the brand: a product, a policy, a bio, a menu, a glossary. Each entry has a name, a category, and a source. The source is a public URL, text you paste, or a file. The URL has to be fetchable without a login. The entry is there so later writing can pull those facts instead of inventing a price or a founding year.
It is not the style strip. Tone lives under writing style and under the presets described on styles and voice. An info-base entry that is written in a casual voice does not set the voice of the next article. It supplies what the article is allowed to say.
How to add an entry that helps
- 1
Name the thing, not the file
“Summer menu” is a better name than “final-v3.” You will pick entries by name when you are writing. A vague name gets left out.
- 2
Put one subject in each entry
A pricing page and a founder story should be two entries with two categories. A single paste that covers both is hard to reuse and easy to apply to the wrong draft.
- 3
Prefer the page that is already true
A public URL stays closer to the site than a copy you forget to update. If the page is private, paste the text. Do not expect a login-gated URL to be read.
- 4
Write the draft with the entry in mind
The AI article writer and the tools that accept your materials are where the entry earns its keep. A paraphraser does not need your menu. An article about the menu does.
What an entry will not do
- It will not check that your paste is accurate. If the text says the wrong price, the draft can repeat the wrong price.
- It will not replace a source you were supposed to cite. Student work still needs the real reading.
- It is not a publishing connection. Getting the article onto WordPress is Integrations, and that is also Premium.
- It does not bypass the detector, and it is not a detector. Those are separate tools.
Keep the entries current
An entry is only as useful as the last time you checked it. When a price, a plan name, or a policy changes, edit the entry or point it at the public page that already changed. A URL is easier to trust for that reason, as long as the page is the page you mean. A pasted copy will keep saying last year’s number until you replace the text.
Categories are how you find an entry later. Use a small set you will remember: product, policy, bio, proof. A new category for every entry is a list you will not browse. The name should be specific enough that two people on the account would pick the same entry for the same draft.
Premium is what lets you maintain these entries and use them while writing. The free plan can still use the tools without any stored facts. If you have not written the facts down anywhere, an empty info base will not invent them, which is the behavior you want.
Facts, voice, and publishing
Store what is true here. Store how it should sound as a voice. Send the finished draft from the editor.
An info base is part of Premium
The free tools still run without stored facts. Adding entries and using them while you write is the current Premium plan.
